UDP is home to the Department of Gender Studies, dedicated to mainstreaming the gender perspective within the University. The department proposes specific courses of action across various areas and bodies that form the educational community.

Its mission is to eliminate all forms of arbitrary discrimination and to ensure that UDP plays an active and leading role in creating profound impacts and transformations, not only internally but also within the community as a whole.

Incorporating this perspective at an institutional level involves problematizing the construction of inequalities around certain differences (gender, sexual orientation, gender expressions, and their intersectional dimensions with other differences) and the impact of these inequalities at an institutional level.

To further this mission, the Research and Doctoral Directorate, in collaboration with the Department of Gender Studies, has developed the Guidelines for Gender Parity in Academic Search and Selection Processes. This document was updated in January 2023 and distributed to all authorities responsible for these processes.
