María José Jara is a lawyer and Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences from the Universidad de Chile (2014). Since 2021, she has been pursuing her doctoral studies in Law at the Universidad Diego Portales (UDP scholarship recipient). In 2020, she obtained her Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Human Rights from the Carlos III Universidad de Madrid. Her thesis, titled “Residential Foster Care for Children, Critical Analysis of the Chilean System,” received honors within her cohort.
