Lawyer, Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences from the Faculty of Law at Universidad de Chile, graduated with highest distinction (2009). Master’s Degree in Criminal Law at Universidad de Chile (2014) and Master’s Degree in Criminal Law at Universidad de Sevilla (2014). Additionally, she has specialized studies in Human Rights (Universidad de Chile, 2018) and in accusatory criminal procedure and adversarial litigation (Universidad Diego Portales, 2015). Her undergraduate thesis titled “Determinación de la pena en Chile.
Principios de un Estado democrático de derecho y fines de la pena” (Determining the Sentence in Chile: Principles of a Democratic Rule of Law and Purposes of Punishment) won the “Concurso de Memoristas” (Memorists’ Contest) award from the Cámara de Diputados de Chile (Chamber of Deputies of Chile).
