She gained her Bachelor’s degree from astrophysics at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She is interested mainly in the most energetic processes in the Universe, such as accretion onto supermassive black holes in the centers of active galaxies. During her Master’s project she found passion in studying heavily obscured active galactic nuclei, where she was deriving complex geometrical and physical characteristics of the deeply buried accreting systems. She is also interested in starburst galaxies such as Green Peas and the possible contribution of star forming galaxies to the reionization of the young Universe, which was the main object of the research in her Bachelor’s thesis. Outside of the academic soil she is a passionate skier who loves to go skitouring in winter and climbing in summer. She started her Ph.D. at UDP in March 2023.

In the initial stage of my career, I focused on working directly with and within schools, serving as an advisor for the “Liceos Prioritarios” (Priority Schools) program and working as a psychologist and coordinator for an Inclusion Program in schools. Simultaneously, I have always been involved in research in the area of School Effectiveness and Improvement, and in 2013, I fully dedicated myself to this field, taking on different roles in research projects and consulting work. Drawing from my practical experience in schools, in recent years, I have been strongly committed to creating collaborative spaces with the school system from an academic standpoint. Nowadays, for his Ph.D. thesis he works with James Jenkins to discover and characterise Jupiter analogs in metal-rich stars to statistically determine the fraction of giant planets beyond ~3AU from their host stars, placing strong constrains on gas giant formation and evolution models in this regime, through radial velocity and astrometry joint models, properly bridging the gap between RVs and Direct Imaging observations.
